Knickerbocker Baseball Academy is dedicated to providing private and group instruction to all ages and athletic abilities. Click on our clinic or about KBA  pages to learn how to become a student of the game. We are located in Tucson, Arizona.

What makes us UNIQUE:

Practice style training (PST) alone simply doesn't work! KBA could focus just on providing lessons and fool you into thinking your son or daughter improved.  But in reality, by the time you get to games it is the same results you had prior to training.  KBA isn't

interested in you spending hundreds of dollars for your child to just be a practice player.

Here in KBA we provide practice style training, academy style training (AST) and participate in United States Amateur Baseball Tournaments (USABT).  We strongly believe kids need a balance of all three components to become game time savvy students of the game. AST provides KBA players with the latest Major League level techniques, drills, and high volume of repetitions in all areas of the game.  KBA uses PST for tournament preparations, leadership building, and team building exercises. To give our KBA players the greatest possible national exposure and the best competitive baseball experience, we regularly participate in USABT.

KBA is the only Southern Arizona training organization recognized as a Jr. Olympic developmental program (JODP). We take great pride in making our KBA players game time savvy students of the game, ready for National competition and exposure.

A Simple Philosophy...

Game pressures just don't exist in a practice or training facility atmosphere. In a game a player must be quick to react to situations and be able to think under pressure. This is where most kids fail in the game of baseball.

If you just focus on improving mechanics and you don't have experience in game time execution, the player will resort back to old habits under pressure. Good mechanics alone won't help your son or daughter understand how to play good, sound fundamental baseball. Baseball is full of situations where there is a play after the play. Most of these situations can't be duplicated in practice. Your child needs to play games, games, and more games along with professional coaching to increase his/her baseball IQ.

Once a player starts with KBA, they may stay in our program for as long as they continue to play baseball and for as long as he and his parents are consistent with our philosophy. To learn more about KBA return to the menu button and click on, "About KBA".
